This should have a section called "Target" which will show you the file location/address of the file you want, there might also be a "open file location" button. lnk file go to properties, then see if there is a "shortcut" tab. lnk is the suffix used for "shortcuts", usually these are only created if you use the "send to desktop" function in the right click menu.* Why did this happen and how can i fix it? Why is it completely soundless but the space that the song takes up is the same as a normal song would (45 MB) I didnt know it was possible for FL Studio to export yout song as a weblink.
This kept happening over and over for some reason. Then i went back and double checked again and the file type said wav. When I looked at the file type it said "lnk" which is a web link, not wav.
I went and looked at the properties of the file i exported and it was quite odd. But when I opened the beat that section was completely blank. On the bottom you usually see a visual graph of the sound you're using. I clicked on the title where you usually go to change volume and panning. I imported the previous song into the project to see if it showed that there was any sound or not. I went back into FL Studio (I don't have the pro version so i cant redo anything) and I created a new project. I checked my volume and my mute button and everything. I went to go make the YouTube video for the type beat and when i imported the song into the video it was completely soundless.
I checked to make sure everything was correct and then i exported it. I set the correct bit depth and everything of that sort. I saved in the correct format and everything. I worked on a good type beat for around 3 hours in FL Studio 20 and it was honestly one of the top 3 beats ive ever made. TL DR: I exported a song i had been working on in FL Studio and the entire thing is blank.
